These are stand alone sessions covering the same material. Choose whichever one is convenient for you.
We hope you can join us for tacos, socializing, and an interactive "TBV Tune-Up" later this month. This event is for people in Van Buren who have already been trained by Todos Bienvenidos (there are over 100 of us!) There will be something for everyone, whether you have been active in family support, following the Signal chats religiously, or not particularly engaged. We will do some hands-on practice with scenarios and phone apps, answer your questions, gather ideas, and build community.
¡Todos Bienvenidos! assists several infants across Van Buren County and there's a constant need for diapers and formula. There is some storage space in South Haven and there will soon be some in Paw Paw.
How you can help:
There's an immediate need for size 4 and 5 diapers, as well as Similac 350 and Similac Advance.
Volunteers are needed to collect and distribute supplies.
Let us know of any local churches interested in doing some diaper and formula drives for TBV.
If you know of a place with a spare closet to add a storage location in the Hartford area for this use, let us know.
Please reach out to southhavenindivisble@gmail.com and we will get your message to the appropriate volunteer coordinator.
To report ICE activity and upload evidence to a safe repository, use Attorney General Nessel’s: Immigrant Action Reporting Form.
For those unaware, there is an ICE detention facility in Baldwin, MI. Indivisible groups closer to Baldwin are currently working to support individuals at the facility by donating funds that can be used for legal assistance and communication. Currently there is a hunger strike going on at the facility. Click here to learn more.
